How Is Call Quality Maintained On Mobile?

Most VoIP systems use your phone's data connection or data plan (called Over-the-Top or OTT) in order to make and receive a phone call. What that means is the call quality can drop based on the status of your phone's data.

However, the Tapal Infosys hosted phone system on mobile uses your phone's CDMA 2g/3g network on the voice channel. So, unlike a traditional VoIP app, your call quality is guaranteed by your network operator (e.g. Verizon, AT&T, Spring, T-Mobile). Because we are using the voice channel, instead of the data channel, performance is always going to be better than a traditional VoIP app, even in weak signal areas.
